Hi y'all! Funny story...had a friend stop by the gym today that hasn't seen me since I started my prep and exclaimed "OMG, you are so little!" LOL!!! Now THAT is funny! One thing I have never been is "little". Sweet compliment though! I am doing quite well these days. Nothing too terribly painful going on or any unmanageable cravings to report thank goodness. I do know this much: I am changing daily...almost hourly right now. It is freaky stuff! I was training upper body yesterday and H told me to take off my sweatshirt to see how things were looking under there and WOW- my entire upper body was a network of veins--craaaazzzyy looking! Hell yea! That's what I'm talkin' about! I absolutely love to watch how things develop as I go along. Each time it is an extra special treat to see what my body will do next. Very exciting to say the least.
Heading out to Vegas tomorrow to take care of Jill's hair and makeup and Howard will be dialing her in of course. She is in amazing shape-super proud of her! I will do my level best to help her as much as possible while keeping my own prep on point out there. Gotta train, cardio, diet, and rest when I can. I heard that there will be close to 200 figure girls competing---wowza!
I haven't heard much about the female bodybuilders that will be competing. I wish them all luck and hope that, whatever the case may be, they will continue to keep the fire alive within along with the "love" of the game. I must say...this year has been a real eye-opener for me on numerous levels and my "love" is diminishing. So many events and things brought to my attention that I never even knew existed that are very disheartening. Man! The days of being fresh on the scene with stars in my eyes--that was what it was all about. Now, I have to divert my eyes from all of the ridiculousness abound in this industry. Wish me luck in Vegas...I am gonna need it!
Here are some pics of Jill Smith...if this isn't the image of a figure champ, I don't know what is!
Good luck Jilly!
