Good news!!! "Gina's Thoughts" in the member's area is back in business! Not sure what the problem was there, but it has been tested and working fine now. I had one post back in February archived and republished it last night concerning my thoughts on fbbing as a whole---VERY insightful and I was certainly having an introspective day that day. Gina's Thoughts is a place where I kind of "spill my guts" on some issues, so I am sure there will be A LOT of spillin' during the next few months--check it out!

The weekend is upon us and I hope you all have a nice, eventful one planned. I have been working with a doll of a girl named "May" for a FAME event here in OK and she will be making her stage debut tomorrow--I wish her the best of luck and sure she will do great. I will be there to watch her shine! Sat. night I hope to "kick it" with some friends down in Bricktown since my partying days are numbered right now. I am not that big of a partier, but will go have some fun occasionally and let loose. Sunday will bring more lake activity and housework...fun and duties all in the same day! lol!

A very cool supporter of fbbing over at the genex forums advised me to take a look at a particular thread concerning the latest FLEX magazine swimsuit edition and the lack of fbbers as models. Well, it is what it is...the "powers that be" are all about making money and if they feel that the fbbing community as a whole will not sell mags, then the exclusion continues. It makes me sad because I know a lot of my fellow competitors that would ROCK the pages of a mag like that with their winning smiles, beautiful faces, and extraordinary bodies. Not tooting my own horn here, but I will use this photo as an example (I chose this one because everytime someone sees it, they say things like "you look like a model with a bad ass body") Gene from genex took this one and I was totally relaxed except for that bicep. I guess if we had to experiment, let's put our hand over the body (for the people that dislike muscle) and see if the face, hair, smile is "worthy"??? Is it???


That is for each person to decide. We could do the same with COUNTLESS other ladies photos and come to the same conclusion-it's a pretty sad state of affairs. At any rate, I am proud of how things are in my corner of the world and will never hang my head in shame because I happen to sport a great amount of muscularity...and if the heirarchy ever decides to "accept" us, then I will be here along with a host of others that could fit the bill. Onward...more muscle to make! lol!

A TRIBUTE TO MY FRIEND CARRI LEDFORD-BALDWIN:

Every now and then someone in your life does something that makes you sit back and think "I am so lucky to have this person as a friend". That person for me is Carri. I could sit here and type forever about how fulfilling it is to have her friendship. I am constantly telling her that people just aren't made out of the same stuff that she is. She is an amazing person, she truly is. Moments when you feel down about something and she is there to pick you up with that dynamic personality (that includes the passing of a pet, injuries, conflicts, low carbs or even just being in a pissy mood for no reason in particular...she is there). She has an infectious personality and just radiates warmth to everyone around her. Her cute little "Minnie Mouse" voice alone is enough to make you smile. You know how you can tell someone is just good IN THEIR SOUL?? That's my girl Carri and I am so very blessed to call her my friend. Here's to you Carri Lou...thank you for being that unwavering you. (did that rhyme? lol!)

Just shot my latest update for my fantastic members at the lake today and on a BOAT no less! What a terrific time...fun in the sun! A large gallery of me posing on the deck and two video clips-one posing and the other is a "talkie". Lots of color pics as well as black and whites-very cool. I have never been a big fan of water sports or activities, but today was spent cruising around the lake, shooting the update and some suntanning on the deck so not too intense I guess. I plan to use this setting for some of my future updates to get scenery out of the gym sometimes. The good news is that as I lean out, it will be time to bust out the bikinis and have some real fun in the sun for you all to check out!

I am so ready to get the show on the road...after sending Andy my update I was looking over the pics and videos and kept thinking "cannot wait to see what's under all that!" I am still weighing around 191lbs and it will be interesting to see how much muscle I have gained in two years. I weighed in at 156 in 2004(after a week of being very sick and losing some size) so I think I should at least be around 160 for the Europa. 20 weeks out this weekend and have 4 weeks to get to 185lbs to start my prep...it's a done deal. Exciting stuff and it only gets better as this contest journey begins. I will have a "Countdown to the Europa" section where you will see THE MOST phenomenal contest progression pics ever. People could not get over my "Road To Victory" section in '04...oh yea...it begins again very soon. Gosh! Just so much swirling through my head right now-can't wait! yippeee!!!
