Member's update: The final installation of the Archives Series 2003. Included, you will see 6 video clips and two HUGE photo galleries during my weekend in South Beach, Miami. This was a bittersweet year for me to review...I absolutely loved the way I looked this year...but the judges told me to bring a tighter package to '04, so I did. When a female gets leaner and drier, everything takes on a different look...face is sunken in more with more creases and the body is shrink wrapped with major vascularity. I wasn't anywhere close to that in 2003, and to be frank..I preferred that look on me. Please enjoy this update...I SURE DID! (the videos are a hoot too! lol!) Here are some pics from that "era".

For those that have been inquiring about how the ol' bicep is doing...here are a few shots of my last arm workout. Left arm still has some "catching up" to do, but coming along quickly! Notice H and Bren keeping a keen eye on it just in case...lol!

Hey y'all! This is just a quick one to brag on one of my clients... Over the summer I had the great opportunity to train Ms. Dannielle Snider. She is truly a remarkable young lady. She was home on summer break from PURDUE where she is an AERONAUTICAL ENGINEER and will one day be in the space program and become an ASTRONAUT! I thoroughly enjoyed our time together and the dramatic changes she made before heading back to Purdue. She tells me that she would like for me to continue to be her trainer once she hits NASA and continue to get her into even better shape. She was an absolute doll to work with and very interesting to talk to...I LOVE intellectual stimulation such that Danni provided and we just had a ball together. I will miss her while she is away at school and wish her all the best in all of her "endeavors". Love ya Danni! Keep in touch!

Hi everyone! Went to the Darrel Terral's "Total Package" last night and had a great time! It is the only natural show in the state of Oklahoma and Darrel does a terrific job with it. The competitors were so enthusiastic--it was inspirational to watch. Kelly Ryan and Craig Titus guest posed. Kelly is just mesmerizing to watch! Girl's got skills fo sho!! Darrel also had a rapper named "Mr. Nitro" there who is a native Oklahoman. He rocked the house and I absolutely LOVED this guy! His song "I Wish You Would" fired me up BIG TIME! I have been thinking of getting back into my boxing training and that song fueled my desire. I will start hitting the heavy bag and working the speed bag again and see if those juices keep flowin'. If nothing else, it will keep me in good shape as I prepare for my first pro show. Boxing is one helluva workout! Whew!

On a personal note, I decided over the weekend that I will no longer concern myself with other people's hangups. I have been dealing with this since I moved to Oklahoma and it stops now. No more going out of my way to make the other person feel comfortable. Other people's issues are out of my control and I recognize that. It was an epiphany of sorts and all it took was ONE look--done--I'm over it.

Member's section: Archives Series 2003 NPC NATIONALS! This was the year I thought I had a clue and didn't! LOL! Miami was hot and expensive, but the good thing was that I made a huge jump that year to the 7th place position. I was thrilled with that! Here are a couple of pics from weigh in and backstage at prejudging.

Matters of the heart:

There are times when you get so wrapped up in the daily activities of your own life that you neglect to reach out to those you love. I have THE MOST LOVING family and although I do not get to see them as much as I would like to, I am always with them in spirit...through the good times and the bad...just as they are for me. Brian, I love you and if there is anyone I know who can come out of a hard time smelling like a rose, it is YOU. LaVonda, you are one of the stabilizing forces in my life and I know that intrinsic quality you hold can only benefit you as well. I am here for you both and love you dearly.

Your cuz,

Had a cool ass workout tonight with H, Brandon, Bren and my girl Carri. It was chest night so we proceeded to kick each other's butt! Between Carri healing from her knee surgery and me trying to build back up after my bicep tear, we were quite the pair. She took it easy on me tonight during chest, so I will do the same for her tomorrow during legs! lol! It feels so good to have workouts like these and know that I am improving day by day. Those months off felt like an eternity, but I am full speed ahead now and making tremendous progress in a very short time. Speaking of Miss Carri...here is a pic I found of us in Vegas having some "cocktails" and another one of us tonight about to train.
Have a good night y'all!

Whew! What a week! Guess it is time for me to speak more on the USA's...

In the lightweights the winner was the tiniest muscled-up female I have ever seen in my life! Reports were that she was 4'8" or something like that? Little firecracker for sure and made the overall posedown hilarious to watch.

Middles showcased the young Britt Miller who was just adorable. She has a great future in the sport IF she keeps her head on straight and doesn't go down the wrong path. Just a pretty, shining star on that stage!

I am sure a lot of folks have heard about the Elena/Amanda "rivalry" that occurred pre-contest which was exacerbated by Elena taking second to Amanda in the light-heavy division. I am buddies with both of these ladies and will say this: I am just as happy for Amanda as I am sad for Elena. They both brought two different types of AMAZING to the stage and should feel proud on both counts. Amanda now joins me in the pro arena and Elena is soon to follow...of that I have no doubt. That is ALL I am going to say on that!

In the heavyweight division I witnessed Heather Policky dominate the field with her incredible physique. Sherry Smith was impressively lean and hard, but the judges are no longer rewarding that look. My buddy Mary Hobbs continues to improve and is still such a pretty lady.

It was a pleasure to meet and visit some of the ladies over the weekend. Heather Lee was there to support her best friend Elena and was a delight to chat with. VERY pretty girl with a dynamite personality. All of Elena's Jersey crew were so cool to visit with. I was impressed with how dang BIG those folks were! Grow 'em big up there too I guess! lol!
Christine Sabo was such a nice lady who is so laid back and REAL. I appreciate that and wish her the best in the future. Debbie Bramwell--what's not to like with Debbie? My gosh, she is just a fantastic! I stand by my thoughts that if she downsizes to a middleweight, the pro card is hers.
Team Amanda Dunbar: Robin Parker and Colette Nelson--Robin did the impossible..she managed to keep Amanda on her diet! lol! Colette was head of the beautification dept. and made Amanda look just gorgeous on that stage. I had fun doing Amanda's hair for prejudging as well as giving her some posing tips and was pleased with how well that turned out. Holly Geerson and Deniz Odar were hangin' out in Amanda's hotel room with Colette in charge of hair and makeup for them as well-cool ladies as well!

I was thrilled to meet some of my "fans" as they called themselves when they approached me at the show. That is what makes attending shows like this so neat...complete strangers coming up and saying everything from how much they appreciate my physique to asking how my bicep is healing! Thanks to all of you for that--you really know how to make a girl feel special.

Besides having a great time at the show, our Crew had a kick ass time in Vegas as well! Lots of memories made in that city and we look forward to visiting again soon. Here are some pics of our grand adventure....Enjoy!
