I am very excited about the routine I am putting together for Nationals. There will be two songs with some cute stuff put in to show some attitude. I would like to thank the mixing genius known as Dave Johnson...if you will look on my links page you will see the "27th Letter" banner--that is Dave's company and I encourage anyone out there who is having difficulty getting their music together to contact him. Absolutely BRILLIANT and very quick as well. Nothing I can't stand more than having an idea set in stone for a routine and having to WAIT forever to get the music back. Dave's the man for sure! Thanks again buddy! I will be making my 8 weeks out video clips this evening along with my photo updates for the Road to Victory gallery, so be looking out for that tomorrow. I have been asked to reformat my older clips to the newer, larger version and I don't think that will be happening. The larger clips take a while to load on some people's computer and I don't want to inconvenience my members so the clips will probably stay the way they are...but all the new ones will be larger unless I get any complaints. Give me some feedback on what you think! On the training front, I have noticed dramatic changes in my physique lately. It only gets better from here since this is the 8 week mark I have been talking about. I would like to thank Carri Ledford-Baldwin once again for being such a supporter of mine. Her daily affirmation that I am on the right track means a lot coming from her. I don't see Sherry as much as I used to, but her encouragement from afar is appreciated as well. These two ladies are cut from a different cloth...I think they are great! Other exciting news...I MADE THE COVER OF WPW MAGAZINE!!! Very cool indeed. "G"

New training pics up in the members section of me at 9 weeks out. It was a REAL training day, so pardon my sweat! lol! Things are changing rapidly, so I am right on track. Remember...weeks 8 thru 6 are when crazy things start happening, so I will be sure and post my progress at that point as well. This weekend will be 8 weeks, so of course, I will have new pics up in the Road to Victory gallery. In addition to that, there will be more video clips added. LOTS of new and exciting things going on in my world, so if you haven't joined yet...step inside and take a peek! "G"

Chris got in pretty late, but was able to get a quick delt workout in. (or as he called it "bounced some dumbbells" for his shoulders-lol!) I must say, this guy is everything people say he is...passionate, gifted, warm, and most of all HUMBLE. I absolutely adore him! Here is a pic of us after his workout and before a trip to IHOP. (where we both stayed on our diets) I wish him all the best for Nationals. Maybe this is a pic of the two future champs this year??? I WISH! lol! What a dream come true that would be. "G"

9 weeks out! Looking good, happy to say. Been really kicking it in the gym during this prep. Doing a lot of drop sets with minimal rest in between them as well as more cardio than I have EVER done before. At this rate, if my body doesn't get in wicked shape then there is definitely something wrong with the universe! lol! Today is upper body...again. It gets pretty intense during the workouts--I find myself yelling out sometimes--it is pretty fierce! I have always been the type of person that when I am training it is hard to tell if I need a spot or not due to how I don't show pain openly. Well, things have changed! lol! My Mom would wash my mouth out with soap if she heard some of the things that come out. It is just to another level...don't know quite how to explain it. I am sure it is due to the fact that I am running with all systems "go" and I have laser vision towards the prize this November. I have NEVER, EVER been so driven. It will pay off, I am sure of it. Thanks for all of the well wishes and support-it helps more than you know. Going to try to post some random photos in my next journal entry of the OKC Crew hanging out with the mighty CHRIS COOK tonight. My trainer, Howard and Chris are great friends and he will be getting here this evening from California. He is coming in for a family event and wanted to stop in to see H and get a workout in at Body Tech. He is doing Nationals as well and is always a front runner for the pro card. I am very excited that I get to finally meet him, I hear he is a terrific individual. Gotta go eat now...everyone enjoy your weekend! "G"

11 weeks out and I am feeling like things are really looking good. I was able to view my physique under some familiar lights this weekend and I must say, I am WAY ahead of where I was last year at this time in terms of conditioning. My muscularity is way up and I can see lines and striations in places I haven't seen this far out before. Oddly enough, my vascularity is coming on quickly too. Maybe the 8 week marker won't be the time when things kick in for me...maybe they already have?? I would like to address something that is on my last nerve: I have been hearing and reading all of these so-called predictions for Nationals this year and I have had it with all of the hype. If I win, no one will be more surprised than me. I will feel BLESSED, HONORED, and ELATED. I know there are other ladies out there that have been rolling the dice year after year and may feel like it is their "time" since they have "paid their dues". Well, the way I see it is YOU BRING YOUR BEST PACKAGE AND I WILL BRING MINE AND LET THE CHIPS FALL WHERE THEY MAY. Honestly, my conditioning is going to make people do a double take, I am confident in that. Now, let's think about this for a moment shall we... The judges think my muscularity, symmetry, proportion, and FEMININITY is great...I just need to be in top condition. Well, that WILL BE DONE, so what will I lack that these other "veterans" have? NOTHING...NOT A DAMN THING! I think I will stop here, the more I type the more pissed I get. Maybe it's the diet, maybe it's the countless hours and dedication displayed this year like I have never experienced that is making me irritable. This sport of fbbing is dying and there are some females out there that can revive it like no other...and I AM ONE OF THEM! Whatever the case, I am BRINGING IT to my homestate of TEXAS this year, so look out. "G"
